O Lord Jesus Christ, Healer of my miserable soul, help Thou mine unbelief and grant me faith in Thy most Sacred Mystery of Confession, by which Thou forgivest mine evil thoughts, feelings, words, and actions: Enlighten Thou my Confessor with compassion and wisdom to admonish me in my wretchedness; O Thou Who didst open the eyes of the blind, open Thou the eyes of mine impenitent and duplicitous heart, that I may confess my sins in contrition and honesty; O Thou Who didst open the ears of the deaf, open Thou the ears of mine arrogant and obstinate heart, that I may heed the words of Thy Priest in humility and meekness; O Thou Who didst loose the tongues of the dumb, loose Thou the tongue of my shameless and ungrateful heart, that I may praise Thy longsuffering toward me in piety and gratitude; and help me, O Lord, help me, a sinner, to amend my wicked ways, that I may become a Christian, no longer in name alone, but in very deed; for Thou alone hast the power to forgive sins, together with Thine Unoriginate Father and Thine All-Holy Spirit, now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.
