At the stroke of midnight, the faithful who are holding lighted candles before the decorated icon corner with incense burning before the Icon of the Resurrection begin:
Page 163 from the middle of the page “Christ is risen from the dead,” etc. through page 185 omitting all parts specifically done by the priest or deacon.
Epistle: Acts 1:1-8
Gospel: John 1:1-17
Paschal Hours page 186 omitting parts done by a priest.
The faithful partake of Antidoron and Holy Water.
The faithful then greet one another with the Paschal kiss and the Paschal breakfast/meal is then eaten.
From the Day of Pascha until the following Sunday, the Paschal Hour is done instead of Morning Prayers and instead of Evening Prayers.
Christ is risen!
Truly the Lord is risen!
