The so-called “Holy and Great
Council” of Kolymbari, known as the “Pseudo-Council of Crete,” was
the drop that made the cup of patience overflow. A respectable number of
Christians—pious hieromonks, presbyters, monks, and laypeople—who for many
years have struggled against the devouring monster of Ecumenism, chose the
essential, unique, militant, and martyric path of resistance to heresy.
Confronted with the actions of our bishops, who—contrary to their mission—by
accepting the decisions of the Pseudo-Council proclaim heresy "bareheaded,"
we followed the patristic path of walling off, or the cessation of
commemoration of the pseudo-bishops.
“The Lord maketh foolish him
whom He willeth to destroy.” The bishops who incline toward heresy, the
potential heretics, who undergo the severance of spiritual communion by their
priests and flock for reasons of Faith, yet do not come to their senses in
order to return in repentance to the path of the Saints, become altered both
in soul and spirit. They grow savage! Their faces, radiating their inner
state, become grim. Their eyes reveal anxiety, hatred, and malice. Disturbance
becomes evident in their daily life. All these are signs of the alien spirit
which has gained rights over them. It is the demonic spirit of heresy—proud
and disorderly, dragon-like and beast-faced. Driven by such an internal
condition, they spread novel theories to the Christ-named flock and persecute
those who resist. No matter how much they pretend to be meek and humble, in
moments when they are pressured to account for their heretical choices, they
explode. Those among the laity who are knowledgeable in theological matters
recognize them not only by their outbursts of irrationality but also by the
deconstruction concealed in their discourse on matters of Faith. They distort
Holy Scripture by interpreting it at will, and they nullify the
patristic interpretation of whatever canons do not “serve their purpose.”
Canons pertaining to the prohibition of joint prayer and all related matters
concerning relations with heretics are rejected or misinterpreted by them. In
essence, they abolish the infallible decisions of the holy Ecumenical
Councils, claiming that, as Fathers themselves, they are able to alter the
canons of the ancient Fathers of the Church! They skillfully forget that the
decisions of the ancient holy Fathers regarding dogmatic matters of Faith are
approved by the great Ecumenical Councils, and that no one has the right to
change the slightest detail. [1] Yet by such actions, they insult the very
Holy Spirit, rendering It inconsistent.
An example sufficient to
demonstrate the extent of their deviation from the patristic teaching is their
stance toward the 45th Apostolic Canon, which forbids prayers together
with heretics. According to the interpretation of Saint Nikodemos the
Hagiorite, under this canon, any Bishop or Presbyter or Deacon who only
prays together—and does not concelebrate—with heretics must be excommunicated.
For whoever prays together with the excommunicated—since such are the
heretics—must himself also be excommunicated, according to the 10th Canon of
the Apostles. But if he has allowed heretics to perform, as clergy, any
ecclesiastical service, he is to be deposed. For any cleric who
concelebrates with those who have been deposed—because according to the 2nd
and 4th Canons of the Third Ecumenical Council, such are the heretics—must
also be deposed together with them, according to the 11th Canon of the
Apostles. For we must hate and turn away from heretics, not pray
together with them and allow them to perform any ecclesiastical service, as
though they were clergy or priests. [2]
To such a clear apostolic
position and patristic interpretation, the ecumenist bishops respond in the most
blasphemous and shameless manner: “This canon is old, inactive, and
does not concern the contemporary Church and our time”! Truly, do we
need any further proof to understand from what spirit the advocates of the
pan-heresy and the syncretistic New Age are inspired? For them, Christ and His
teaching—expressed through Holy Scripture and the apostolic and patristic
tradition—is not the Christ who extends throughout the ages (“Jesus Christ
the same yesterday, and today, and forever”)! [3] For their heretical
minds, there exists an old and a new Christ!
The same spirit, unfortunately,
also fills the so-called traditional Christians, both clergy and laity, who
play the role of pacifiers and lullers of the souls of the
faithful. These individuals, usually driven by personal ambitions and
interests, taking into account crutches, positions, and honors, vehemently
oppose the cessation of commemoration of the bishop, acting against those who
have proceeded with such an action. They proclaim that they do not depart from
the Church, do not engage in walling off, and do not cease the commemoration of
their bishops. In this way, they say, they safeguard the unity of the Church. Naturally,
they are entirely in the wrong, as these positions are in direct
contradiction with the relevant canons concerning the cessation of
commemoration, as well as with the consistent practice of the Church throughout
the ages. How is it possible that the application of the canons of walling
off from heresy and the heretical bishop places outside the Church the one who
applies them?
We are living in a forerunning
age of the Antichrist. Delusion governs the world. It rules over the souls of
men and, unfortunately, prevails even in the highest ranks of ecclesiastical
administration. We are already living in the last times, in which even the
elect are being led astray. There exists in our days a true deficiency that
concerns us Christians. It is the deficiency of holy and true obedience
to God and to His holy Church. In place of this, ecclesiastical leaders impose
obedience to heresy-inclined bishops and not to the Church of the Saints. Yet
this constitutes real disobedience to the will of God. The pseudo-bishops, as
bearers of the pan-heresy, do not represent Christ and the Church. They are self-condemned
and are heading toward perdition, sadly dragging along the people of God. Even
the synods they convene, such as the pseudo-synod of Crete, are not holy
according to the standards of the Ecumenical Councils. They are convened not
under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit but under the darkening influence
of demonic powers. This results in their heretical decisions. Such is
reckoned as delusion in Heaven, and whoever follows such decisions is forsaken
by divine Grace. Disobedience to the will of God and obedience to the
pseudo-bishops is the demonic poison that destroys souls.
Considering our historical
responsibility toward Orthodoxy, we have a sacred duty to resist the
hell of heresy and its establishment within the bosom of the Church. We are
obliged to isolate those who betray the Faith and to sever all spiritual
communion with them. We do not have the same God; we do not belong to the same
Church. They belong to the church of the devil, which they support upon
the decisions of pseudo-councils, and we belong to the Holy Church of
Christ, which is founded upon Holy Scripture and the holy Ecumenical
Councils. Amen!

[1] “...let no one be permitted to propose, or at any rate to
write, or compose, or think, or teach otherwise... but those who dare either to
compose another Faith, or at any rate to present, or teach, or hand down
another Creed... if they be bishops or clergy, let the bishops be foreign to
the episcopate and the clergy to the clergy; but if they be monks or laymen,
let them be anathematized.” - Definition of Faith of the Fourth Ecumenical
Council held in Chalcedon
