Prayer to Saint Seraphim of Platina

O our holy father, blessed Seraphim, thou didst order thy life according to the commandment of Christ, denying thyself, taking up thy cross, and following him; and thus didst thou bring forth much fruit unto the harvest of God. Do thou pray unto the Lord for us, thy spiritual children, who dwell in an age of unbelief and enmity against absolute truth. Pray that Christ our God may strengthen us and grant us the wisdom and faith to endure the trials that lie before us. Pray for our families and friends, both the living and the departed. Pray that the inward eyes of our souls may be opened, that we may behold the divine and true Gospel of our Lord and God and Saviour Jesus Christ, and may acquire within ourselves the Holy Spirit. Pray that we also may one day dwell in blessedness with thee and all the saints in the Kingdom of Heaven. Beseech also the Mother of God, that she may entreat her Son to have mercy on our souls. For glorious and unending is the Kingdom of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.
