O Lord, grant that for me this day may be good and sinless.
O Lord, abandon me not to the will of mine enemies, neither withdraw from me. O
Lord, deliver me from the sway of passions and the burning of pleasures. O
Lord, grant me Thy hand to help me and uphold me in the fear of Thee. O Lord,
grant mourning and humility to my heart, that I may lament mine iniquities. O
Lord, grant me patience in temptations and discretion. O Lord, blot out from me
ignorance, indolence, and hardheartedness. O Lord, deliver me from entertaining
pernicious suggestions and from assent to evil thoughts. O Lord, drive away
from me forgetfulness, insensibility, and captivity of the mind. O Lord,
protect me from the warfare of fornication. O Lord, implant in me disdain for
pleasures, grant me virtuous conduct and a life that cannot be put to shame,
and direct my steps to the doing of Thy commandments. By the intercessions of
our All-Immaculate Lady, the Theotokos, and of all Thy Saints; for blessed art
Thou unto the ages of ages. Amen.
