One Hundred Years of Ecumenist Apostasy 1924–2024: From the Change of the Ecclesiastical Calendar to the Pan-Heresy of Ecumenism and the Pan-Religion

Prologue

The Hierarchy of the Church of Greece in 1924 carried out a coup in the ecclesiastical sphere and changed the Ecclesiastical calendar; this rebellion was unprecedented! It designated the 10th of March as the 23rd of March, thus omitting the feasts of thirteen days. This innovation of the Ecclesiastical calendar had been condemned in the past by the Orthodox Church.

The things that will now be heard here are nothing other than the confessional voice that has been raised for 100 years now by our holy fathers. Let these sound like a small siren so as to awaken the otherwise elect souls who, “in good faith,” still remain in communion with the pan-heresy of Ecumenism, and so that they may withdraw from the wolf-shepherds.

1. The Change of the Ecclesiastical Calendar

The Church, which is imbued with the spirit of unity, desires that the celebration of the feasts, and especially of the great ones, be observed uniformly by all the faithful. This, in the beginning, during the period of the persecutions, did not occur.

After these things, the First Ecumenical Council, in 325 A.D., established by its decision, irrevocably, the regulations concerning the day of the celebration of Pascha. Thus, little by little, there was formed the Ecclesiastical or Patristic calendar of the movable and immovable feasts on the basis of the Julian calendar. The good pleasure of God in this Ecclesiastical calendar was expressed through undeniable divine signs of our Lord.

This joint celebration was shattered in 1924 by a “diabolical” innovation—the change of the Ecclesiastical calendar. This took place without there being an ecclesiastical reason, and it opened the way for the subterranean schemes of the sheep-clad wolves who leapt into the Vineyard of the Lord. These were the omens of the Ecumenical storm that we are living through today, one hundred years later. It caused upheaval, disorder, and inconsistency in the liturgical practice of the Church. This constitutes a “worldwide scandal” and brought confusion and disturbance into the conscience of the Orthodox people.

One year earlier, in 1923, the State of Greece had introduced the New Calendar into civil life. However, by the Royal Decree of January 18, 1923, it left in force also the Julian calendar insofar as it concerned the Church in general and the religious feasts. According to this Decree, in our homeland there was a coexistence of two calendars: the New one of the state and the Ecclesiastical one of the Church.

Thus things were arranged nicely! The immovable feasts were adjusted to the corresponding dates of the civil calendar and no problem was created! For example, the 25th of December of the Julian calendar was identified with the 7th of January of the New Calendar. No change occurred in the immovable feasts, except in the naming of the dates. Likewise, for each year the movable feasts were also adjusted.

With the change, the following was revealed: The complete absence of a pastoral cause that could justify the alteration was proclaimed aloud, something which the Churches that retained the old calendar continually demonstrate with a strong voice—those of Jerusalem, Russia, Serbia, Mount Athos, etc. In these, the coexistence of the civil and ecclesiastical calendar is harmonized excellently even to this day, and it creates no confusion at all!

The edifice of the change of the ecclesiastical calendar was built upon the sand of falsehood! Falsehood upon falsehood! They kept saying repeatedly that the change does not clash with dogmas or traditions, nor with the sacred Canons of the Church, whereas in reality it was a stick of dynamite against them!

All the arguments of the innovators are unsound and have been refuted! For this reason, in discussions they mainly change the subject; they put forward the divisions of the Old-Calendarists, while turning a blind eye to their own alignment with all the heresies.

They strain out the gnat and swallow the camel! They think that the external cohesion of their Bishops constitutes a fruit of the Holy Spirit. Quite the opposite! Let the gendarme be absent for a little while and then we shall see into how many pieces they will be broken!

2. Causes and Purpose of the Change

The purpose of the change was joint celebration with the heretics of the West, as this is clearly attested both by the encyclical of 1920 and by the anti-Orthodox Congress of 1923.

For appearance’s sake, however, they invoked other reasons, such as the shifting of the vernal equinox, which in the end they did not correct! Yet they did correct the immovable feasts, Christmas, etc., which have no relation to it whatsoever!

They further said that the Julian calendar is not accurate; yet they did not adopt the Persian calendar, which is more accurate than the Gregorian!

The Holy Spirit knows far better about matters of the equinox and the calendar than the astronomers of every age! It was this Spirit that illumined the holy fathers of the First Ecumenical Council, and they set in order the matters concerning the celebration of Pascha.

They, although they knew very well that with the passage of time a shift of the vernal equinox occurs, nevertheless did not trouble themselves about it. With full knowledge they overlooked this shift as something insignificant and harmless for the Church, and for this reason they did not foresee that any correction of it should be made in the future. They preserved the essence and did not collide with the Injunctions of the Holy Apostles.

The holy fathers in practice accepted conventionally, as the Vernal Equinox, the 21st of March of the Julian calendar. Thus, on this matter, the Orthodox Church never needs astronomers throughout the centuries! For her, the Paschalion established by the holy fathers is eternal—finished, period!

Following the holy fathers of the First Ecumenical Council, the fathers of the other Ecumenical Councils also perceived no confusion and did not dare to make any correction! Only those who had a worldly mind—Archbishop Chrysostomos Papadopoulos and Patriarch Meletios Metaxakis—dared what had not been dared!

3. Result of the Use of Two Calendars

The results that have followed this change up to today are all negative!

“If the change is not made,” they said, “after thousands of years, a time will come when Christmas will be celebrated in the summer, and Pascha in the autumn!”

And what of it! Does this not happen even today? When Christmas is celebrated, do all the Orthodox have winter, as we have here in Greece? No! Elsewhere they have summer! Likewise, when Pascha is celebrated, elsewhere they have spring and elsewhere they have autumn!

Nor does the natural difference of time in the various regions of the earth constitute an argument against those who remain steadfast in the sacred traditions of the Church. These differences existed even before the innovation, yet no one rose up! After thousands of years, we also ask them: what will happen to their corrected calendar? Many absurdities will occur!

If your feet stand upon two moving bases, for example on two boats or on two cars, you will not reach your destination! In a similar way the New-Calendarists also fared with the change: they celebrate the movable feasts according to the Ecclesiastical calendar, but the immovable ones according to the New. And since the difference of the 13 days is not fixed, with the passage of years it will become 15, 20, 100, 1000 days, etc.; the consequence is that everything will be turned upside down in the New Calendar!

Thus, a time will come when:

a) The Fast of the Apostles will be abolished completely.

b) Clean Monday will fall on the day of the Panagia, on the fifteenth of August!

c) Pascha will fall on the day of the Dormition of the Theotokos!

d) Pascha will fall on the day of the Exaltation of the Precious Cross!

e) They will celebrate Christmas twice, without Pascha in between!

f) When Pascha coincides with the feast of the Dormition, or of Christmas, either the Fast of the Panagia or that of Christmas will in essence be abolished!

Behold into what pits they fell with the correction they made! Well does the Apostle Paul say: “He who catches the wise in their craftiness”! And the worst thing is that the liturgical unity of the entire Orthodox Church was broken; a liturgical schism came about!

Can you imagine what would have happened if, as the day of change, they had appointed the 4th of August? That year they would have celebrated neither the Transfiguration nor the Fifteenth of August! Then no one would have accepted the change! For this reason, the cunning Metaxakis at his Congress in 1923 stressed that the omission of the 13 days should be done at some period when great feasts are scarce in the festal calendar, just as formerly the scribes, who wanted to put the Lord to death, were saying, “not during the feast, lest the people be stirred up!”

4. High Priests in the Service of Satan

Patriarch Meletios Metaxakis separated from Christ and went with the devil. Fr. Justin Popović called him a great maker of schisms! He, together with his like-minded associate, the Athenian Chrysostomos Papadopoulos, created the schism of 1924 and provoked God, because according to John Chrysostom, “nothing provokes God so much as for the Church to be divided.” These are the ones responsible for the schism, something which they themselves also confessed.

He tells us, concerning this, Fr. Philotheos Zervakos about Metaxakis: “Being tormented by illness and stricken by conscience in the final moments of his death, he said: ‘I am tormented because I divided the Church.’” And about the Athenian Chrysostomos he tells us: “He raised both his hands and struck his head and was saying: ‘If only I had not saved it, if only I had not saved it. This perverted Metaxakis dragged me down with him. … Go to the president of the Old-Calendarists and tell him to go to the Government and tell it to order me, and tomorrow morning I will send notice to all the Churches to restore the old calendar.’”

These things vividly reveal Archbishop Chrysostomos; he did not believe the New Calendar to be correct! But his desire to please men and his lack of confessional conscience proved him to be the most suitable instrument of the innovators. Although he repented of the change, he did not have the heroism to repair the evil!

Patriarch Meletios Metaxakis was ruthless. He was marked by boundless ambition; he was an “unstable and restless spirit of love of rule, an evil demon.” He ascended to the thrones of Kition, Athens, Constantinople, and Alexandria!

Fr. Philotheos Zervakos tells us that he climbed to the thrones like a thief, that he removed his cassock when he went to Europe, that he was a Mason of the 33rd degree, and that he fulfilled a will pleasing to the devil! Let us recall here that the Masons worship Satan.

At the so-called Pan-Orthodox Congress of 1923, he planted the bomb of the calendar reform; now the lighting of the fuse was also needed! This was done by his friend, the Archbishop of Athens Chrysostomos, the following year, in 1924. In order to mislead the hierarchs and impose the change of the calendar, he used falsehood and deceit.

The initiative for the change was not held by the Ecumenical Patriarchate, but by the Archbishop of Athens Chrysostomos, without a decision of the Hierarchy. He, under pressure from the state, unilaterally decided on the change of the calendar, despite the hesitation and fear of Gregory VII, who afterward was “ordered” by him to accept it.

He who yesterday confessed that the change constitutes a worldwide scandal now carries it out himself! He considered himself superior to the Ecumenical Councils and caused a worldwide scandal.

Of course, the other Hierarchs were also accomplices. Fr. Philotheos Zervakos again writes: “The departed Patriarch and the Hierarchs of Greece fulfilled a will pleasing to the devil: they grieved God and the saints and gladdened the devil and his followers.”

5. Persecution

In order for the innovation of 1924 to be imposed in Greece, the Hierarchy of the Church proclaimed an unrelenting war against those who disagreed. It carried out crushing and savage persecutions against the “Old-Calendarists,” with the gendarme also as an assistant. It adopted harsh and, in many respects, barbarous measures against this sacred movement; it persecuted in every way the hierarchs, priests, and other clergy who separated.

During these persecutions, the priests were arrested and exiled, or imprisoned, or driven by force to various gendarme stations, where they stripped off their cassocks, cut their beards, and publicly shamed them! Their churches were sealed, the Epitaphioi were overturned, and the clubs of the gendarmes fell furiously upon the heads of the faithful!

6. The Bags of Aeolus Were Opened

“Do not worry,” they said, “it is a small innocent jump of 13 days! Like a little hole in a balloon, we will make it up!” With this jump the terrible bags of Aeolus of Ecumenism were opened, which devours like a cancerous tumor the very entrails of Orthodoxy! This was the most insidious blow against the Church of Christ.

The change of the calendar opened the gates of the heresy of Ecumenism! Of the Orthodox Churches, the first to yield to Ecumenism was that of the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople. In 1920, the locum tenens of the Ecumenical Throne was Dorotheos of Prusa. Then the Ecumenist Encyclical of 1920 was issued, which the Ecumenists have as a guide. This document calls the various heretical groups “Churches,” thus overturning Orthodox ecclesiology!

He was punished exemplarily by God for the impiety of this Encyclical. He went to London in March of 1921, and there he offered the enkolpion of Joachim III to the heretical Archbishop of Canterbury. And he died during the course of this visit!

Let us recall that the Patriarch of Constantinople Joseph II, who accepted an “economical union” with the Latins at the synod of Ferrara–Florence in 1439, died suddenly during the course of a meal before signing, and was buried there! And the Ecumenist Russian Metropolitan of Leningrad, Nikodim Rotov, when in the year 1978 he visited the Pope, died suddenly while conversing with him!

The New Calendar constitutes the introduction of what followed, with the well-known outcomes of the lifting of the anathemas, the concelebrations with the Papists and Monophysites, the joint prayers with every heretic and person of another religion, with the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople taking the lead, and the crowning of all these, the Synod of Crete in 2016!

With all these things, Orthodox ecclesiology was overthrown wholesale, and the Orthodox Church was officially placed on an equal footing with all the heresies! We have an open betrayal of our Orthodox faith!

The innovators, when the change was made, justified themselves behind the phrase: “the reform of the calendar did not offend any dogma.” Today what false justifications will the perpetrators and bodyguards of the pan-heresy of Ecumenism find? These even consider Mohammedanism and the other idolatrous religions to lead to God!

7. Concerning Heretics

We Orthodox turn away from the associations of heretics, because heretics, according to our saints, are not Christians; they are instruments of the devil according to John Chrysostom; and for this reason, Cosmas of Aetolia tells us that we must weep and lament for them. The heretic will not see the face of God!

Among the greatest heresies are Catholicism, or Papism, and Protestantism; these constitute the complete corruption of Christianity!

Papism, that is, the Latin heresy, constitutes a local Church that was deceived by Lucifer and does whatever he directs it to do! It is an obedient instrument of Satan, according to Gregory Palamas! The Latins are the most implacable enemies of Orthodoxy. They seek the incorporation of the Orthodox Church into the Roman Catholic heresy! “The gate of the fold is open,” they tell us; “there is room for everyone!”

The Papists are deposed and anathematized heretics for the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church of Christ. They do not have the grace of the All-Holy Spirit. Indeed, Nicodemus the Hagiorite calls them very ancient heretics! And Athanasius Parios tells us that they, with the addition of the Filioque, sinned worse even than Lucifer!

In the person of the Pope, Eugenios Voulgaris and Meletius of Athens see the true face of the Antichrist; and Cosmas of Aetolia calls the Pope antichrist—him whom Bartholomew I and other Bishops call “most holy” and kiss!

The heresy of the Protestants is a daughter of the Latin heresy. Their many communities officially created in 1948 an organization, the “gang” of the World Council of Churches (W.C.C.), which is nothing other than a revival of paganism, and which constitutes an organized delusion against the Orthodox Truth. This Council sets aside the Holy Trinity as a fundamental article of the Christian faith!

8. Ecumenism – Pan-Religion

Ecumenism is a forerunner of the Antichrist; it is a worldwide movement of International Zionism. It seeks first that all the heresies—Papism, Protestantism, Monophysitism, etc.—be united with Orthodoxy, and then with all religions—Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, etc.—so that there may be one Pan-Religion, in which people will believe in a false god!

By theologians and clergy of all fronts, Ecumenism has been characterized as a pan-heresy. It is promoted through the two heresies, the Papist and the Protestant, and it is one of the greatest enemies of our Orthodoxy.

This heresy has two characteristics which the ancient heresies did not have: first, the universal assault against Orthodoxy, and not only against one dogma; and second, the almost universal acceptance of the heresy by the leading clergy and theologians of Orthodoxy, with very few exceptions among priests and monks, and even these chiefly only in words!

The backbone of the ecclesiology of the Ecumenists is the thrice-accursed heretical branch theory, according to which all the communities of the heretics remain “branches” of the Church. According to this theory, the Orthodox Church is just as guilty for the separation of the heretics as those who separated from the Church! Post-Patristic Theology is one component of Ecumenism.

It is foolish for one to view the Calendar issue within the narrow limits of the span of thirteen days; the matter is connected with the catholic life of the Church, it has an ecclesiological character, and it is inseparably linked with the Ecumenical movement.

A fundamental piece of evidence and testimony for this is both the official document of the planning of the betrayal, namely the Encyclical of 1920, and the Pan-Orthodox Congress of 1923. That is, the calendar constituted a suitable instrument for the promotion of the Ecumenist vision.

In the dreadful downhill course of the delusion of Ecumenism, the official Orthodox Churches were also swept along; they enrolled in the W.C.C.! Thus, Orthodoxy was degraded to the position of a poor relative in this worldwide conglomeration of heresies, which is dominated by the heretics.

The Ecumenist Hierarchs, through their connection with the W.C.C., took the members of Christ and made them members of a harlot, and thus they disgraced our Holy Church! They rejected the Orthodox faith and became “organic members” of this association, which is composed of hundreds of heresies; within it the mystery of lawlessness is accomplished.

Who can imagine that the Orthodox Church of the period of the fathers of the Councils would proclaim itself an organic member of a fellowship that united Arians, Nestorians, Severians, and the other heretics of their time?

The theological criteria of the Ecumenists have been blunted! They have renounced the ecclesiological and soteriological exclusivity of Orthodoxy, and the fundamental right of the Orthodox Church—her divine mission, that is, the re-evangelization and the return of the heretics to the Orthodox Church, from which they separated.

9. Patriarchate of Constantinople

Foremost in the Ecumenist apostasy is the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople! From its summit down to the last deacon, it officially and coldly sells out the Orthodox deposit of faith!

The last three Patriarchs of Constantinople belong among the men who speak perverse things! They rendered excellent service to Papism, since they accepted it as a true Church of Christ, with divine grace and sacraments, and the Pope as a “venerable brother” and “first in the universal Church of Christ”!

Their false doctrines have surpassed every precedent. Their initiatives are very bold and their blunders countless, which cause dizziness. The innovations and blasphemous utterances of these Ecumenists constitute an entire sea, daily “foaming forth their own shame”!

They envied the glory of Herostratus and are setting fire to the Orthodox Church in order to burn her! They set themselves to make Orthodoxy a satellite of the Papist heresy; thus, they proved worse than John XI Bekkos! The Pope succeeded in presenting them throughout the world as Cardinals! They bowed down to him, and now they are leading the Orthodox flock into the Papal fold!

On the basis of their sacred words and their course, we give them the title that belongs to them: heretic. The Synodikon of Orthodoxy characterizes them not only as heretics, but also as under anathema, because they do not say anathema to the heretical Papists, but address them as: “beloved and venerable brethren.” From the Sacred Canons they are designated as “false bishops”!

The abomination of Ecumenism has settled itself comfortably in the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople. Since 1920 it has admired the Papist heresy, praised it, and finally become one with it! The Phanar today shines with false doctrine and not with Orthodoxy; as a result, instead of enlightening those who are in the darkness of the heresies of Papism, Protestantism, etc., it darkens them even more!

Of course, it is not only the Patriarchs of Constantinople who are Ecumenists. Almost all the Bishops of the Orthodox Churches have capitulated to Papism and to Protestantism, and they demand that we also follow them in this spiritual downhill course! They speak like genuine offspring of the Pope and bow to him with servility!

Athenagoras of Constantinople, Demetrios of Constantinople, Bartholomew I of Constantinople, Athenagoras of Thyateira, Parthenios of Alexandria, Ieronymos I of Athens, Iakovos of America, Christodoulos of Athens, are splendid lads of the company of the Ecumenists!

The Pope continually proclaims, together with his other delusions and heresies, that he is the visible head of the Church, and the Orthodox Bishops who visit him stand more voiceless than fish before these blasphemies of his against the Orthodox Church; and they endorse what he proclaims by their kiss with him and continually address him as “Your Holiness”!

They reached the point, Hierarchs—specifically Demetrios of America at that time and his entourage—of receiving from the hands of the Pope on June 29, 2003, the Pallium, a symbol of recognition of Papal primacy! As he was giving it to them, he said: “While I prepare to present to you this liturgical symbol, which you will wear at official ceremonies as a sign of ecclesiastical communion with the Apostolic See of Rome …”

From 1949 until today, what have we not heard from so many mouths of Bishops and Patriarchs! They proclaim false doctrines with head uncovered, and at times they profess Orthodoxy in words, so as to create confusion among the faithful.

They call the heresies “sister Churches,” and they call all the unbaptized, the unbelievers, the Jews, and the heretics brothers! For them, these heresies, together with the Orthodox Church, already constitute the One Church, which is now divided and is moving toward unity!

They recognize the Pope with all his demonic pride; and with their foolish and destructive journeys and meetings in Rome, in order to pray together and bow down to him, they have driven a deadly knife into the heart of the Orthodox Church! By denying her uniqueness, they bury her and seek to make a new Church!

They associate with the crucifiers of our Christ, the Jews; they honor them and visit their synagogues and attend the ceremonies of these evildoers and enemies of Christ, they lay wreaths at their monuments and pray together with them!

They blaspheme and set aside the traditions, the Canons, the Dogmas, the Symbol of the Faith, the Orthodox Church, the Holy Trinity! They are indifferent to the truth and thus scandalize the faithful!

The Dialogue of Love, of which they speak to us, is a plan of dark inspiration. In the Church the separation of Love from Truth is not permitted. The true love of the holy fathers toward the heterodox sprang from zeal to enlighten them with the light of the truth; they were concerned for their sincere return to the Holy Church, for their redemption.

The love of the Gospel is true, because it “rejoices with the truth”; but the love of the Ecumenists, which rejoices with the falsehood of the heresies, is diseased, it is false, because it supports in delusion millions of heretical Christians. This love of theirs toward the heretics, without telling them the truth, constitutes misanthropy according to Maximus the Confessor.

Let us look at some wretched acts of certain Ecumenists.

10. Athenagoras of Constantinople

The great denier of Orthodoxy and pro-Turk Athenagoras I was elected Patriarch uncanonically, with the help of Turks and Americans, despite the opposing opinion of the Plenary Session of the Hierarchy of the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople. He came to Constantinople on January 26, 1949, on the airplane of the Mason American President Harry S. Truman, with the aim of disgracing the Orthodox faith.

He was officially accused of being a Mason and did not deny it. His conduct was senseless. He was betraying all Orthodoxy. He was a source of anarchism and nihilism in the Orthodox world. The Athonites justly called him a heretic and an apostate.

He loved his worldwide projection, and not the promotion of Orthodoxy. Whatever constitutes its essence, that is, the sacred tradition—and indeed even the dogmas and the Canons—were set aside by him into the “treasury” of the Church.

Throughout his entire Ecumenist course, he had as a guide the Encyclical of 1920. In 1952 he issued an encyclical which invited the primates of the local Orthodox Churches to enroll in the W.C.C.

His pro-Jewish sentiments are well known. He was present at a special service that took place in a Jewish Synagogue of New York City in 1940, where he said the following: “In Corfu, where I once lived, I served several times as a Rabbi for my Jewish friends.”

He was the chief leader of the Ecumenist games. Thus, he began the bargaining away of Orthodoxy with the official lifting of the anathema against Papism in December 1965, thereby proclaiming the Orthodox Church before him to have been in error. This lifting was proclaimed theatrically by the unionists. The Papists, of course, remain anathematized for the Orthodox Church.

In their Proclamation, select members of Mount Athos in 1964 informed him that if he continued his pro-union actions, they would repudiate him! And in 1970, Athonite Abbots and monks, in their Memorandum to the Holy Synod of the Church of Greece, with monastic boldness made manifest their sacred indignation for the deeds committed against the Orthodox faith and Tradition.

His statements and actions, unacceptable to the Orthodox conscience, constitute an endless series! Let us see some:

“The age of dogma has passed,” he said; “the dogmas now we should put into the treasury, ‘let us mint a common coin with the other Churches: the coin of love.’”

To a Protestant Pastor he said: “You are a Priest; I could receive from your hands the Body and the Blood of Christ.”

He was giving “the holy things to the dogs,” that is, to Catholics and Protestants, something which he himself confessed! He said that Roman Catholics can commune in an Orthodox church and the Orthodox in a Roman Catholic one!

He proclaimed that the terrible heresy of the “Filioque,” which distorts the Dogma of the Holy Trinity, does not constitute an obstacle to Union, but is a simple custom! This voice is blasphemous and God-fighting according to Photios the Great.

He equated the true Orthodox faith with the false faiths of the heretics, the Mohammedans, and the Buddhists!

He envisioned the “re-founding” of the Church through the union of the Orthodox with the heretics! He was in favor of the marriage of clergy even after their ordination!

These things and others testify that he rejected both dogmas and traditions. Moreover, they reveal his crowned hypocrisy, when in cold blood in 1963 he was telling the Athonites that he is so devoted to the traditions, etc., of Orthodoxy that he does not even agree to hang the icons a little higher! Yet he lowered the Orthodox Church much lower, into the depth of satanic heresies!

In July 1972 this heretic and apostate died and was buried. He departed unrepentant for the crimes he committed against our Mother Church! He was a matricide! He served Satan! He was praised and exalted by all those who hate the Orthodox Church—by her enemy, the world!

During the period 1963–1967, in the treacherous course of Patriarch Athenagoras I, an Orthodox stance was raised by Chrysostomos Hadjistavrou of Athens with his Synod. He saw that with his pro-Papal actions he was mortally wounding Orthodoxy and the Nation, and that these tended toward the complete subjugation of Orthodoxy to the Pope!

In his anti-union struggle he sought the support of the Holy Community of Mount Athos, which remained completely indifferent to his dramatic appeal!

He wanted the return to the Patristic Calendar. Fr. Philotheos Zervakos relates to us: “On the eve of April 21 (of the revolution), when I visited him, he said to me jokingly: ‘Chrysostomos introduced the New Calendar, Chrysostomos will cast it out,’ but the day after next they cast him out involuntarily from the archbishopric and he died before he had time!”

The successor of Chrysostomos, Ieronymos I of Athens, was a praiser of Athenagoras I! His Synod wanted the Orthodox to respect the traditions of the Pope, that is, infallibility, primacy, the immaculate conception, purgatory, indulgences, etc.

He founded the movement “International Love”, an organization which resembled the “everything into the same pot” of Ecumenism, but also of Freemasonry!

He translated the Gospel according to Fulton, which contains blasphemy against the Theotokos.

11. Iakovos Koukouzis of America

Iakovos Koukouzis of America, a classic type of contemporary false shepherd, also served the plans of Ecumenism. His unionist effort was frenzied! He acted in a decisive manner against Hellenism. At the meeting of Athenagoras I with Paul VI in Jerusalem in January 1964, he was the most important person of the patriarchal entourage.

Immediately afterward this foul-mouthed man visited Athens uncanonically, without the knowledge of Chrysostomos II [Hadjistavrou] of Athens, made insulting and blasphemous statements as if he were a Cardinal, and provoked the indignation of the people, with the result that the Minister of Foreign Affairs ordered him to leave Athens!

He provided 500,000 dollars for the construction of a pantheistic temple, so that all gods might be worshipped, regardless of religion!

In a memorandum of his to the Patriarchate on July 5, 1970, he expresses his intention to recognize Freemasonry, because, he says, most of our Christians here are Masons!

He was openly turning against the dogmas and the Canons of the Church and the Traditions—and not only these! He denied the Symbol of the Faith; he denied in his statements the Dogma of the Holy Trinity! He denied the Orthodox Church; “we have need of a new Christianity,” he was saying!

The Greek expatriates of Chicago, in 1972, denounced him “for apostasy and heresy, for violation of Holy Scripture and the Sacred Canons, for denial of the Symbol of the Faith, for voluntary denial of the Triune Godhead.”

In 1964 the Jewish lawyer Frank Goldman, honorary president of the International Jewish Lodge B’nai B’rith, awarded him the “Man of the Year” prize, because he proposed a resolution against antisemitism at the congress of the W.C.C., which was accepted.

At his participation in a dialogue with the Jews in 1972, he agreed that the liturgical texts should be revised with regard to terminology and that the negative or hostile insinuations toward the Jews and Judaism should be removed!

He further declared that, until the time of the Second World War, “we attributed the crucifixion of Jesus to the Jews”!

For all these things, this denier of Orthodoxy was worthy of punishment! The Patriarchate ought to have dismissed this most impious and heretical hierarch, to have deposed him! But instead, it left him to blaspheme freely!

12. Demetrios of Constantinople

Patriarch Demetrios I, in his enthronement address, declared that he would follow “the holy and great line of our great predecessor”! That is, he told us that he would continue the corrupting and evil-minded work of the Mason and Ecumenist Athenagoras I. From this statement alone one could suffice to prove that he deviated from the Orthodox faith and truth, by publicly teaching false doctrine and adopting Latin-minded views.

The Athonites who earlier had ceased commemorating the Patriarch Athenagoras, although they read this heretical address of his, hastened immediately—except for the Zealots—to commemorate his name! The traitor Athenagoras departed, but the betrayal continued with an even more intense pace through his successor Demetrios.

He, in December 1987, took part in the “Ecumenist ‘theater’” of Rome, that is, he “concelebrated” with the Pope and left the Orthodox faithful astonished! If there had been Orthodox Bishops confessors, they would have deposed him! Until his death he continued to betray Orthodoxy coldly, steadily, and continually!

He praised the W.C.C. and the Encyclical of 1920. If everyone who even only accepts this encyclical thereby becomes outright a heretic, he who praises it—indeed from the very platform of the Ecumenical Throne—how should he be characterized? Throughout his whole life he proclaimed heresy “with bared head,” just as his predecessor did!

He also declared that an Orthodox Christian can, in a case of necessity, by economia, receive communion in a Roman Catholic Church!

“He warmly congratulated” in 1975 the Ecumenist Metropolitan of Thyateira Athenagoras of Thyateira for his blasphemous confession, the “Confession of Thyateira”; he characterized it as splendid and, by Synodal decision, gave the blessing for its publication!

He, the Metropolitan of Thyateira, blasphemed the fruits of the All-Holy Spirit, the Sacred Canons of the Church; he characterized them as human commandments and schemes of follies and hatred!

13. Christodoulos of Athens

Christodoulos of Athens was also a great Ecumenist and a praiser of the heretic Athenagoras I. He blasphemed against the Symbol of the Faith by accepting two Churches. His relations with the Jews were well known. He maintained that Jews and Christians believe in the same God!

The frenzy of self-promotion led him to bring the Pope to Athens, this enemy of our Faith and of our homeland! And the Church of Greece, through him, crowned him with a golden crown of great value!

The Greek Hierarchs, unfortunately, offered earth and water to the heresiarch. They said “yes” and opened the gates to the “false prophet.” They accepted with applause the Latin-minded policy of Christodoulos, just as they also accept in silence the blasphemies of Bartholomew I!

14. Bartholomew of Constantinople

The deeds of the dean of the Ecumenists, Bartholomew I, are unbelievably provoking. He is an excellent servant of Satan. The abomination of desolation sits in his mind! He ascended to the Patriarchal Throne in 1991.

The Orthodox Church teaches us that, since evil associations corrupt good morals, we should not associate with heretics, because their words wound hearts like poisoned arrows. Friendship and association with them is harm and the loss of the soul.

Bartholomew I disregarded these things; he accepted the impious and heretics and attended the Papal Institute of Oriental Studies of Rome. The result was that the proverb was fulfilled: “with whichever teacher you sit, such letters you will learn.” There he learned the “heretical letters”! The vipers of the Vatican poisoned him thoroughly with the streams of Papal false doctrine and he became a janissary with a helmet! He received a doctorate of false doctrine! From then on, instead of rightly dividing the word of Truth, he continually beheads it!

While he says that he promotes Orthodoxy, he continually insults and degrades it. We have a multitude of proofs that testify to his departure from our Orthodox Faith. He does not mind the things of God, but the things of the world of Ecumenist apostasy.

In the 34 years of his Patriarchate, what issues has he not created! Everywhere! In the Church of Greece, of Crete, in Jerusalem, in Australia, in America, in Ukraine! Issues, issues, in order to prevail as an “Ecumenical” tyrant of the Orthodox Church.

He has been infected by the microbe of the heresy of Ecumenism; for this reason, he has been seized by a diseased unionist mania and introduces new demons! Not only does he preach heresy, but he undermines the Christian Faith, since he equates our God-Man Christ with all the founders of the religions of the world and questions that our Church possesses the fullness of the Truth.

He has bowed down to the sacrilegious heresiarch Pope, the enemy of the Son of the Mother of God, and as a papalist he too is an enemy of our Lord Jesus Christ!

His provocative and anti-Orthodox statements constitute an entire mountain, and they are accompanied by uncanonical and impious acts, utterly humiliating and treacherous for Orthodoxy.

From a beacon of Orthodoxy, Mr. Bartholomew I was transformed into a demolisher of her spiritual ramparts. “I couldn’t care less,” he said in 2021, if the Patriarch of Moscow does not commemorate me; yet he does not say this also about the Holy Monastery of Esphigmenou Monastery!

To the coalition of the forces of darkness, which want to neutralize the Church of Christ and move according to a well-ordered plan, the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew I also extends a helping hand; he is an internal enemy, and therefore more fearsome!

The Apostle Paul was the chosen vessel of our Lord and bore His name “before nations and kings.” By contrast, Patriarch Bartholomew I is a chosen vessel of the devil and bears the pan-heresy of Ecumenism before the world! He denied his Christian mission and his evangelical duty, because he mingled ecclesiastically with the heretics. For him Jesus Christ is not for today; He was only for the past centuries!

15. His Lineage

Bartholomew I is the third in succession Latin-minded Patriarch of Constantinople and faithfully follows the cacodox line of his predecessors Athenagoras I and Demetrios I, who:

a) They denied the uniqueness of Orthodoxy by accepting the heretical encyclical of 1920 and by their participation in the World Council of Churches!

b) They commemorated the Pope from 1966 in the diptychs, while they regarded as canonical churches equal to the Orthodox the Papism, Anglicanism, and Monophysitism!

c) They prayed together with the Pope and confessed him as “first in the universal Church of Christ.”

d) In particular, Patriarch Demetrios I “concelebrated” in 1987 in Rome with the Pope and accepted as Orthodox the heretical Monophysites (Chambésy 1990), whom the Church has condemned since the fifth century through Ecumenical Councils!

Bartholomew I continued the treacherous course of his two predecessors and recognized Papism and the Unia at Balamand of Lebanon in 1993. This was the reward of Papism for its ancient and modern crimes against the Church of the Orthodox!

He confirmed this union at his meeting with the Pope, where after the Uniate concelebration they had in Rome in 1995, they co-signed a joint communiqué which applauds what took place in Lebanon. This tells us that “both their Churches possess priesthood, sacraments, and are sister Churches”!

On the other hand, however, the holy fathers wrote about Papism that it constitutes a “separation from God,” and therefore how has it now become a “sister Church,” without repentance and return to ancient Canonicity? Quite simply because this is what the New World Order requires.

Because he has become spiritually paralyzed, he boldly gave Holy Communion to heretics on Sunday, June 9, 2002, in Ravenna. And Athenagoras I also gave “the holy things to the dogs”; Moscow had preceded in this matter with its decision in the year 1969, which was called the “decision of Judas”!

Whoever opposes his Ecumenist policy he identifies with the enemies of the institution of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, whereas he himself is the greatest enemy of this institution!

He tries, moved by hatred, to crush spiritually and to condemn “with a light conscience” those who dare to disagree with him and to break the barrier of silence and guilty tolerance and to confess that they no longer follow him, because he is a false shepherd!

He does not threaten Mr. Stefanos Kasselakis, the advocate of Sodomism, with excommunication, but gladly receives and invites him, while the genuine Orthodox Christians he continually threatens with persecutions. And he leaves undisturbed so many enemies of the Church—Papists, Protestants, Masons, Zionists, and so many other instruments of the devil—to run wild and ravage the rational flock of Christ; these he embraces and loves!

He appears at times with the face of an Orthodox shepherd and sets forth patristic sayings, sweet words, words of love for Orthodoxy, and at other times with the face of a harsh persecutor, raising the sword of violence; then he hypocritically invokes the Sacred Canons just as the Pharisees of old invoked the Law!

As soon as he became Patriarch, one of his first actions was the very unjust persecution of the fathers of the Russian Skete of the Prophet Elias on Mount Athos, because they did not commemorate him. With the help of the police, the Patriarchal Exarchate, and with the cover of the Holy Community, he put handcuffs on them and expelled them without trial, violently and inhumanly, within one hour!

16. Old-Calendarists, the Holy Monastery of Esphigmenou, and Bartholomew

He embraces the heretics mentally in his texts addressed to them, and in reality, during his visits to the various ecclesiastical centers of the West. They are his beloved and venerable brothers, whereas the Old-Calendarists constitute his mortal enemies, exactly as the Pope also feels about them. What a coincidence!

He recognizes only the sacraments of the heretics, but not those of the wholly Orthodox Old-Calendarists! And at the mere sight of them he casts off the lion’s skin of his Orthodoxy and allows all the wealth of his passionate heart to be manifested.

The supposed hymn-singer of love, when in 1996 the Ministry of Foreign Affairs decided to recognize the sacraments of the Old-Calendarists performed abroad, threatened the state, saying that “I will declare the Church to be under persecution.” What hypocrisy! He who sells out Orthodoxy pretends to be its defender!

The Sacred Monastery of Esphigmenou reacted vigorously and in a patristic manner to the Ecumenist preachings of the Phanar, by cutting off all communion with the Patriarchate and with those who are in communion with it, in the year 1972. From then on, there began a relentless persecution against it by Patriarch Demetrios, which is continued by his successor, Mr. Bartholomew.

He accuses the monks of this Monastery, who are most fervent zealots of the Symbol of the Faith, as unrepentant and schismatic, while he does not call the heretics to repentance, whom he considers brothers in Christ!

By supporting the formation of the Brotherhood of the Annunciation, the Katsoulierides, who with sledgehammer and crowbar were breaking the doors of the Konakion of the Monastery of Esphigmenou in Karyes, he became a laughingstock throughout the whole world!

The Lady Theotokos, until today, has not permitted them to expel the monks of this Monastery. Not even in the summer of 2024, when so much talk arose about their impending violent expulsion. Before the general outcry both of the Holy Mountain and of the whole world, the plans of expulsion were once again thwarted!

His stance toward the Holy Monastery of Esphigmenou, up to today, has proved that he is marked by a lack of love; he is “a clanging cymbal,” according to the Apostle Paul!

17. Bartholomew and Interreligious Meetings

He drags Orthodoxy by force into the pan-religious camp of the devil and places it beside falsehood and deceit.

He approves the interreligious joint prayers of ALL religions. This great apostate of these last years never once condemned the satanic joint prayers of the Ecumenists that took place in 1986 in Assisi of Italy, with the Pope as leader. In them participated not only the Christian heresies, but also Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, idolaters, sorcerers, etc.

He participates, without repenting, in satan-dominated conferences of Ecumenists, such as that of Assisi in 2002 and that of Canberra in Australia in 1991, where unbelievable revelries took place. Australia revealed the depth of the apostasy that is being carried out for a global Church, which has been described as “Babylon the great, the mother of harlots,” the bride of the final Antichrist.

We saw him in 2009 praying standing together with representatives of all religions on the ship in Antarctica, before the model of the globe.

At an event for the environment in November 2000, in Kathmandu of Nepal, the representatives of the principal confessions, among them also Mr. Bartholomew, offered sacred gifts to the Earth, who, like a pagan, offered as a gift to Mother Earth a monastic tract of land.

18. Zionism, Islam, and Bartholomew

Photios Kontoglou used to say, “we, out of love!!! forgive even Zionism, which satanically works for the disappearance of our religion”; and Bartholomew says that “in Judaism the same God is worshipped as by us.”

Satan entered his heart, and for this reason he visited the Jewish Synagogue of New York, Park East, on October 28, 2009. These synagogues are a haunt of demons, according to Chrysostom, likewise also the souls of the Jews! If one only watches the video of his visit to the above Synagogue, he understands what Bartholomew is!

Just as in his meetings with the heretics, so also here he offered to the Jews a stone instead of bread! He went there not to preach Christ Risen, but to deny Him. For this reason, the Jews love him, whereas a thousand Jews hated Saint Cosmas and one loved him. He used to say: “May God protect me from the snares of the Devil, and especially of the Jews, who spend thousands of purses in order to kill me.”

In our days, in 2013, the former rabbi of Thessaloniki, Mordechai Frizis, boasted that the Jews of that time exterminated that murderous anti-Semite, as he calls Saint Cosmas! An attack against Saint Cosmas was also made by the journal Theologia of the Church of Greece, issue Jan.–Mar. 2015.

In the year 2021, the American Jewish Committee awarded Mr. Bartholomew the Human Dignity Award! Unfortunately, however, he was deprived of the award of Orthodox dignity and Confession, which he would have received if he spoke the language of Saint Cosmas!

He converses with the Muslims and praises Mohammedanism and the Koran, which he gives as a blessing! He speaks openly about the sanctity and equality of Holy Scripture and the Koran, whose law is swinish according to Saint Cosmas! He also said that “in Islam the same God is worshipped as by us.” Similar blasphemies were also uttered by others, such as Parthenios of Alexandria, Athenagoras of Thyateira, Damaskinos of Switzerland, Christodoulos of Athens, etc.

19. The Holy Canons and Bartholomew

Mr. Bartholomew clothed himself with an authority higher even than that of the Ecumenical Councils. Like another Lucifer he says: I shall set my throne above the Canons of the Orthodox Church! Thus, in 1970 he declared in writing that “the provisions regulating the relations of Orthodox Christians with the heterodox and those of other religions cannot be applied today and must be modified… A modification of certain provisions toward a more humane and more realistic direction is required. The Church cannot and must not live outside place and time”!

The criterion for these things that he tells us is his own conduct and that of those like him! Since he prays together with heretics and those of other religions—a thing which is called spiritual fornication—he wants us to modify those Canons which accuse him as such a fornicator!

From these things the magnitude of the crime becomes evident. The godless man insults the Church by saying that it lives outside place and time! He belongs to the false shepherds of Neo-Patristic and Post-Patristic theology.

Because his repeated actions stand in complete opposition to the Holy Canons, which are the walls of safety of the Church, he characterized them as “walls of shame,” and the holy fathers who fought the heresies of Papism—which he now embraces—he called “unfortunate victims of the primal-evil serpent,” because they did not yield to the Luciferian demands of the Vatican!

“I have hated the assembly of evildoers, and with the ungodly I will not sit,” says the Church. But he, on the contrary, constantly associates with the authorities, with the powers, with the world-rulers of the darkness of this age, with the heretics of the West, the Mohammedans, the Buddhists, and the Jews. Not, of course, in order to preach to them the Truth of the Gospel, but in order to bury it before them!

With the treacherous decisions of 1990 concerning the Monophysites and of 1993 concerning the Papists and the Uniates, the epilogue of the union began, which had started with the lifting of the anathemas in 1965.

And the sealing of all the false doctrines and blasphemies that for decades now have proceeded from the lips of the Ecumenists took place at the so-called Great Council of Crete in 2016, where the Holy Spirit was absent! It altered the boundaries of the fathers in an official ceremony, exactly as had been foretold!

Here, the ecumenistic delirium of the satan-driven and accursed Ecumenists reached the summit of apostasy. Here was clearly depicted the capture of the Orthodox Church of Christ by the Ecumenists! Everything is now finished! Flee, brethren, far from them, as from the face of a serpent!

The decision of the Church concerning the celebration of Pascha is a decree that approaches in value the dogmas of the faith, since by it this issue was settled once and for all.

The reformers of the calendar, having this in view, were telling us that the change did not affect the celebration of Pascha. Yet it is known that their desire is to change it! Already the Church of Finland has changed it for decades now!

The Orthodox Church is concerned with the common celebration of her own members, and not with that shared with heretics. The New-Calendarist Ecumenists, instead of returning to the Ecclesiastical calendar so that all the Orthodox Churches might celebrate together, burn with the desire to celebrate together with the heretical churches!

20. Saint Mark Eugenikos and Bartholomew

The correct teaching of the Orthodox Church, which tells us that the Latins are heretics, is not tolerated by the haughty brow of Mr. Bartholomew; therefore, whereas Saint Mark became an instrument of Orthodox theology, he has become an instrument of heretical theology. That one struggled “for patristic glory,” while this one struggles for Latin glory!

The words which the historian addressed to Isidore, Metropolitan of Kiev, who later became a Cardinal, befit him: “Woe to you, wretched papist, reviler of the saints, enemy of the truth and suitable vessel of Satan.”

The Church calls the Pope the Lucifer of Rome! Why does Mr. Bartholomew associate with him, and indeed with great joy? Quite simply because, according to the proverb, “like is always drawn to like”! The Pope is the Lucifer of Rome, Bartholomew the Lucifer of Constantinople! If he does not repent, this is the title the Church will give him!

For the world, he is a personality of global worth and influence, but for the Church he is a great apostate. The poor man, intoxicated by the opium of Ecumenism, does not reckon with God! He is a forerunner of the Antichrist!

21. The Language of the Fathers

One shudders when he hears how the Fathers called the heretics and how their present-day successors call them! The language of the holy Fathers concerning heresies and heretics is very harsh! They use extremely weighty expressions, corresponding to those of the Gospel. Thus, they call the various heretics wolves, false brethren, poisonous snakes, dogs, antichrists, robbers, deceitful ones, cunning men, forerunners of the Antichrist, vessels and instruments of the evil one!

Why do they do this? So that the faithful may realize the magnitude of the dangers from them, and so that they may bring the heretics to their senses or deter them from their crooked course.

In our days, a great uproar was caused by Gregory of Peristeri with his decision to remove the Precious Cross from the holy Sanctuary. Because of this, the former Metropolitan of Kalavryta, Ambrosios, said to him: “Either restore the Precious Cross to its place, or resign and disappear from the position of Metropolitan of Peristeri. … You are not ‘in the type and place of Christ,’ as a Hierarch, but a PERSECUTOR of our Savior Jesus Christ! … you have become an ENEMY OF THE SAVIOR CHRIST! … You are therefore a Traitor of Christ and of the Christian Teaching!”

If, for such a matter, His Eminence Ambrosios spoke in such language to His Eminence Gregory, with what kind of language ought he to have spoken to Bartholomew of Constantinople—and to all the Ecumenists—for his so many crimes against Orthodoxy? Certainly, with far stricter language!

But sadly, he does not dare to say even to him: Bartholomew, either cease your heretical ecumenist openings, or resign and disappear from the position of Patriarch of Constantinople; you are not “in the type and place of Christ,” you are a persecutor of Orthodoxy, an enemy and traitor of Christ and of His Church!

This reveals what kind of Bishop His Eminence Ambrosios is as well! He does not serve the Truth; he marches together with Bartholomew down the ecumenist slope! If Prime Minister Mr. Mitsotakis was worthy of excommunication once, Bartholomew is ten times worthy of deposition! Whichever Bishops dare to depose him will become new Confessors of the Orthodox Church!

22. One evil having been granted, countless follow

The downward course of the New-Calendarists cannot be restrained; they give heed to the teachings of demons. Our Fathers tell us that an evil life begets evil doctrines, and conversely, evil doctrines beget an evil life. Whether people are seized by a wicked life or by wicked doctrines, they are under the power of the devil, who sets the traps and snares both of evil doctrines and of an evil life.

There are Christian theologians and clergy who teach the theory of evolution—that man descends from the ape! This teaching is also heard on the radio of the Church of Greece and is even promoted in its magazines! Others do not consider the avoidance of childbearing a mortal sin and are not punished!

Another Bishop, Chrysostomos of Zakynthos, in 1999 publicly expressed himself in favor of premarital relations—that is, fornication! And yet he was not deposed!

In 1985 the then Metropolitan of Nea Ionia, Mr. Timotheos Matthaiakis, composed a prayer “for a new naming upon change of sex,” and although this constitutes entirely a blasphemy against God, the Church of Greece included it in its Euchologion!

The present Metropolitan of Nea Ionia, His Eminence Gabriel, in 2022 publicly expressed blasphemous positions concerning homosexuality, granted it amnesty, and he is not the only one who embellishes this abominable passion! To what a state we have come! The Hierarchy of Greece remains silent about all these things; it does not correct, it does not punish, but condones them by its silence!

And Elpidophoros of America, in 2022, performed in Greece the baptism of children presented as the “offspring” of homosexuals; that is, he supports and recognizes homosexual marriage! Could anyone expect Patriarch Bartholomew to punish him, when he had offered Holy Communion to the unrepentant supporter of Sodomitism, the then mayor of Thessaloniki, Yiannis Boutaris! Alas!

Before the Council of Crete, it had circulated that homosexuality would also be supported in the synodal texts as a human right of those who have a “different” sexual orientation. This did not happen. Later, however, the Patriarchate of Constantinople issued a document, in January 2020, entitled: “For the Life of the World: Toward the Social Ethos of the Orthodox Church.” In it we also read the following: “All Christians must always regard every human being as an image of God and must resist every form of discrimination against any person, regardless of his sexual orientation”!

23. Shepherds, grievous wolves

Is discussion still needed after these things to see that the Holy Spirit does not rest in these shepherds? The grace of the Holy Spirit has abandoned them! For this reason, even at the passing of the Law concerning homosexual marriage, they did not react in a manner according to God.

The responsibility for the fall of the Patriarch does not burden him alone, but the entire Patriarchal Synod, which, like a faithful subordinate, approves all his impious actions.

It is now an accomplished fact: the Hierarchs of the Ecumenical Throne have abandoned the ramparts of Orthodoxy and have joined the ramparts of every false doctrine, in the chaos of religious syncretism. While they deny—or rather kill, so far as it depends on them—the uniqueness of Orthodox Truth, the wretches think that they are serving Orthodoxy, just as the darkened Jews in the time of Christ were killing His Apostles and thought that in this way they were offering worship to God!

Their Orthodox mindset has been corroded! They consider neither the primacy and infallibility of the Pope, nor the Filioque, nor Purgatory, nor the many other delusions of Rome, to be obstacles to union with the Papists! Patriarch Bartholomew is no longer worthy of any trust—not even the slightest—nor likewise are all the Hierarchs of the Patriarchate.

But the Hierarchs of the Church of Greece also, from 1924 until today, have been proceeding from fall to fall with regard to the Orthodox confession and the keeping of the sacred Traditions. Their moral and spiritual reflexes have been paralyzed.

They characterize the positions of leading Orthodox Hierarchs and theologians—who hold very important posts in the World Council of Churches and which are destructive of Orthodox ecclesiology—as merely a few unfortunate expressions!

We shall find many Hierarchs praising the holy Confessors, but almost none who imitate them in deed. We shall also find many speaking vaguely about syncretistic Ecumenism among certain ministers of the Church, yet without rebuking the pioneer and chief of the pan-heresy of Ecumenism, Mr. Bartholomew!

He, the Most Reverend Seraphim of Piraeus, regards him as a very wise, prudent, and profound man, and says that he is truly a modern helmsman! Who—this Latin-minded man and Ecumenist! And then he even dedicates a book to the fathers of the Holy Mountain who were martyred by the Latin-minded, and anathematizes the pan-heresy of Ecumenism! What hypocrisy!

These Hierarchs condemn Papism and confess that it is not a Church, and that the Papists do not have divine grace, that is, mysteries. Yet these condemnations of Papism are empty of content, since at the same time they do not condemn Mr. Bartholomew, who consciously proclaims to the ends of the earth things contrary to these!

Unfortunately, after so many blasphemies and betrayals of the Phanar, these Bishops continue to commune with him! Not even one New-Calendarist Bishop has been found — nor will one likely be found — to cease commemorating Mr. Bartholomew and those who commune with him. They do not cease commemorating him, and they call this a struggle “within the walls of the Church,” whereas it means exactly the opposite: they are within false doctrine and outside the truth!

What do all these things mean? Quite simply, they constitute a clear picture of the fall of modern shepherds, who, in comparison with the ancient ones, are a parody of shepherds. They do not have the zeal and the courage to defend the truth. They are grievous wolves and abandon the flock into the mouths of the heretics!

With the coming of the Pope to Greece and with the Council of Crete, it was proven that the Hierarchy of the Church of Greece is an extinguished volcano, without the flame of the martyrs, without Jesus Crucified; it is governed by a spirit of cowardice and servile submission to the spirit of the world, to Caesar—a thing that was confirmed also during the period of the Coronavirus! This is dangerous for the salvation of the faithful; it leads them to perdition!

To what extent, then, has it been captured by Freemasonry? When the Grand Master of the Masons, Mr. Maneas, publicly declared that Freemasonry has among its ranks members of the Hierarchy, the Hierarchy of the Church of Greece did not dare to tell him to present the names of those Hierarchs, nor did it take him to court for slander! Why?

24. The Athonites

The heresy of Ecumenism began from alpha, the change of the calendar, and ended at omega, the council of Crete! Ten decades have passed since this heresy has been continually bombarding Orthodoxy, and especially its Bishops. Almost all of them have surrendered with hands raised and have become Ecumenists, with the foremost and most prominent being the Bishops of the Phanar!

During this period the Athonites continually try to justify the unjustifiable! They issue fine declarations about safeguarding Orthodoxy, which they publicly refute by their conduct! Mount Athos now resembles a purely Ecumenist dependency of the Phanar!

An utter grave-like silence prevails, with the exception of their reaction against Athenagoras for a few years! The treacherous actions of this Patriarch then compelled the majority of the monks to cease commemorating him, most of them publicly.

He departed and Demetrios came to his place. They called him a lion, and he began, with abundant zeal, to dismantle even the remaining things that his deceased predecessor had left behind!

Those who struggle for the paternal traditions and the sacred dogmas, the Zealots, they consider schismatics, while at the same time they receive into their Monasteries the … Cardinals for joint prayer, and even offer them antidoron!

For decades now the Ecumenical Patriarchate has been mocking them. While it betrays Orthodoxy, at the same time it praises the Orthodox traditions in its letters to them! The Phanar mocks the Athonites, and the Athonites mock the people of God, by minimizing the heterodoxies of Constantinople and exaggerating the shortcomings of the anti-ecumenist front.

Until when, our beloved fathers, will you be mocked? Behold, now the time has come for you to realize, even if belatedly, that the Patriarchate does not turn back from its course toward the arms of Papism, and those who follow it will inevitably become Uniates!

If in 1978 Fr. George Kapsanis had said, “the union has almost taken place,” and that the policy of Demetrios, which continues the policy of Athenagoras, “will not be long before it makes us Uniates,” today, after the Council of Crete as well, since 46 years have passed and Bartholomew continues the same and worse policy, has not this policy of his made you Uniates?

You do not approve of his treacherous actions. Yes, but is that enough? Never! Words have their place as a protest at the beginning of evil, perhaps that the heterodox might come to their senses. However, since decades have now passed and cacodoxy triumphs, with what justification will you continue to protest without being heard?

Why do you remain completely indifferent and keep scandalous silence in the face of the cacodoxies that your Bishop proclaims “with bared head”?

The saints Photios of Constantinople, Gregory Palamas, and Mark Eugenikos, the accusers of cacodoxy and advocates of Orthodoxy, are golden lampstands that emit the Orthodox spiritual light. These lampstands Mr. Bartholomew placed under the bushel, and thus he stumbled with the feet of his soul upon the stones of Latin—and not only Latin—cacodoxies! He became an advocate and preacher of cacodoxy, and an accuser of Orthodoxy.

He is blood-stained; he needs to be taken to the clinic called the Orthodox Church, so that it may heal the wounds of his apostasy. You Athonites, help him by ceasing his commemoration; it is an absolute necessity, otherwise he will be damned! And certainly, so will those who do not cease to follow him!

In the past, in 1970, you said in your Memorandum to the Church of Greece: We have endured enough for 22 continuous years the insults and humiliations that proceed from the Throne of Orthodoxy against the spotless Bride of Christ, the Most Holy Orthodoxy! His course, which has become completely identified with that of the Ecumenists, cries out piercingly for their common desire—the destruction of the Unique Treasury of the Revealed Truth, the Orthodox Church! It is no longer possible, Most Reverend ones, to speak of “economy for the time being,” when the intentions and programs of the Ecumenical Throne are exceedingly treacherous and hostile to the right faith.

But most of you did not then prove consistent with your signatures; you did not cease the commemoration of your Patriarch! For the love of Christ, proclaim now, even at the eleventh hour, the following:

We the Athonites clearly see that the Church of Christ is being set on fire; our Patriarch Bartholomew is the chief of its arsonists! He preaches the pan-heresy of Ecumenism! All his life he bows to the chief of the apostasy, the Pope, and with a light conscience he has trampled everything! He has taken a divorce from Orthodoxy!

We melt with grief as we see him not guarding the Thermopylae! The theater of tolerance and economy has lasted long enough! How much longer shall we commemorate the insulter of our holy Fathers! We proclaim an alarm of repentance! Bartholomew has fallen! Let no one hope that the Phanar will recover its senses.

Whoever wishes to save his soul, let him immediately cut off every contact with those who commemorate Bartholomew and with him himself. We remain with the few in the Ark of Orthodoxy and no longer follow him, who loved the submarine multitude of the hell of Ecumenism.

The most shameful sacrilege is being committed—the Uniatisation of the Orthodox Greek people. Our mouths were shamelessly kept silent for entire decades about the flagrant canonical crimes and the heresies of our Patriarch, and we followed him obediently! Now we have grasped the magnitude of the betrayal of our faith that is being carried out.

Enough now! We Athonites do not want the Holy Mountain to betray its mission through its silence in the face of the pan-heresy! It is not pleasing to God for him to embrace and praise heretics, and for the Athonites to follow him!

The Holy Gospel tells us not even to say to him “greetings”! Whoever says to him “greetings” shares in his evil works and becomes an enemy of God and a stranger to the Orthodox Church.

We monks, whose task it is not to tolerate innovations in the Gospel, have been called to be “light to the worldly,” and not—alas—through our communion with heresy to become darkness and a snare and a stumbling block for them.

Unfortunately, our speechlessness for so many years, concerning the betrayals of the Patriarchs Athenagoras, Demetrios, and Bartholomew and their dreadful blasphemies, did not trouble and did not disturb our conscience. We were almost silent and were even blessing their apostasy.

We were commemorating until now a false bishop—may God forgive us for this. The violence that he wished to use in the summer of 2024 against our brethren of the Holy Monastery of Esphigmenou was condemned by us. We want to believe that many faithful have now perceived the heterodox ministry of Mr. Bartholomew after all these things.

In their petitions, let the priests add: “for the salvation of Orthodoxy from the actions of the apostate Patriarch Bartholomew and the rest of the Ecumenists.”

These and so many other things you should proclaim, our beloved fathers! Consider, therefore, whether your stance toward the Patriarchs for so many decades now—by which you calmly follow the false doctrine that is preached—is prudent. Proceed to the God-pleasing step of your walling-off from the Ecumenists; cry out: we sold our faith; we exchanged piety for impiety!

Epilogue

One hundred years after the change

Fr. Philotheos Zervakos used to say: “after most fervent prayer … I received full assurance that we must follow the festal calendar which the holy fathers handed down to us,” “let us not consider it insignificant that we follow the papal festal calendar,” and “those who despise the old festal calendar and follow the new are subject to the anathema.”

Such voices were not heeded by the shepherds of the Church, with the result that today the official authorities of Orthodoxy are held bound in the webs of the poisonous spider of Ecumenism.

Thus, the Old-Calendarists who have held the Thermopylae for a hundred years now were fully vindicated! They struggled so that all these might remain far from the heresy of Ecumenism and within Orthodoxy. They foresaw the danger and cried out that they had made us Franks!

How wrong, then, were those who considered the calendar issue a matter of 13 drops! Indeed, they were 13 drops—but drops of the poison of the pan-heresy of Ecumenism!

The shepherds of the New-Calendarists threw so much mud and such poison against the Old-Calendarists that many faithful even fear to greet them! They said, “Let us lie in wait for the righteous,” the one who confesses Orthodoxy, because he is inconvenient to us!

They even went so far as to equate them with various heretics, as the Holy Synod of Crete did in a relevant Encyclical of 1994! With sacred indignation at that time, Nik. Psaroudakis commented on this as follows: “When, Your Eminences, among the heretics and the demon-driven, you mention—indeed first—the ‘zealot’ Old-Calendarists, then it is clear that the crisis in the present administration of the Church is beginning to become almost unbridgeable, and the question, ‘Has Orthodoxy been captured?,’ becomes a nightmare!”

And for the divisions of the Old-Calendarists they also bear responsibility, because they sent agents among them. Their divisions, however, in no way justify the non-separation of the New-Calendarists from the Ecumenists; this is not a theological argument, and here is why. Let us suppose that there were no Old-Calendarists at all; in that case what should you New-Calendarists have done?

You ought to have separated from the traitorous Bartholomews, etc., and to have preferred persecutions and depositions! Do it now; it is a necessity of obedience to the patristic teaching of the Confessors of the past. No communion with the Ecumenists. Obedience to the teaching of the Church and not obedience to church-fighters and soul-murdering false bishops.

Is it possible for anyone to reconcile his conscience with their betrayals? Only persons whose consciences have been hardened or completely lost can do this.

The duty of the faithful is to defend the Truth; neglect of this duty is equivalent to an act of betrayal that ranks them among the enemies of the Church. The faithful must not prefer concord to the Truth.

The responsibility, in the face of the false doctrine being preached, rests upon all, clergy and laity; it varies only according to each one’s knowledge and rank.

The Orthodox faithful of the New Calendar, clergy and laity, who love the truth, today feel betrayed by your Bishops. Your trust in Bartholomew and in his fellow-travelers has been shaken. And in combination with the indifference of most clergy and theologians in the face of the contemporary apostasy, each believer must now himself take measures, so that he too may not be swept away into the vortex of heresy. The only safety is the cessation of communion with the false-believing Ecumenists.

Everyone who desires his salvation, so as not to become jointly responsible and complicit in the betrayal that is taking place, let him abandon the boat of the Ecumenists; it is now passing through the gates of hell!

Let us take heed lest we resemble the foolish virgins of the Gospel! And this will certainly happen if we content ourselves with our poor “works” and our “rules,” and become indifferent to the pure faith and confession, which more than at any other time are demanded by the evil days through which we are passing.

The cessation of our communion with Bishops who do not speak the truth does not separate us from the Church. The truth keeps us in the Church, and not our administrative dependence on some center that does not speak the truth. For this reason also, Saint Gregory Palamas wrote to his opponents: “Those who are with the truth are with the Church, and those who are not with the truth are not with the Church either.”

The saints never abandoned the Church; this is impossible, since they struggled for its truth. Yet they did abandon their thrones and cut off communion with the heterodox. These are the ones the faithful have as their guides, and they do not wish to be within a Church that denies its uniqueness—and such, they say, is the Church of Patriarch Bartholomew and the rest of the Ecumenists; for this reason, they sever communion with them.

This departure must take place, because heresy cuts a person off from God. Almsgiving, and all our social work, do not save us so long as we are in communion with heresy.

The simple people show great aversion toward the Jehovah’s Witnesses, because they are heretics. Such aversion the Bishops also ought to show toward all heretics, Papists, Protestants, Monophysites, etc. Unfortunately, however, they embrace them and tell them lies, that they are going well and will be saved.

We have one life and one soul. Every day and hour that passes in communion with heresy brings us ever closer to uncertainty about our soul’s salvation. Far, far away, my brothers, from this sect of the Ecumenists!

This is what the faithful always did throughout the course of history, when the heretics held the Churches and they were being profaned by them. So as not to be defiled, they gathered separately from them, even in their homes, and prayed. Behold the exhortation of the Church through the mouth of Saint Athanasios: when the shepherds scandalize the people — as today with the Pan-Religion and with Ecumenism — then it is beneficial for the faithful to gather and pray without them rather than be cast together with them into the Gehenna of fire.

With the change of the Ecclesiastical calendar in 1924, a terrible storm broke out in the Church; today, a hundred years later, we are drowning in the stormy sea of the pan-heresy of Ecumenism and of the Pan-Religion! In order to be saved, let us cry out to our Lord with all the strength of our soul: “Master, save us, we are perishing”!
