Prayer to Our Holy Fathers, the First Hierarchs of the Russian Orthodox Church Abroad – Saints Anthony, Anastasy, Philaret, and Vitaly

 

First Hierarchs of the Russian Orthodox Church Abroad Anthony, Anastasy, Philaret, and Vitaly, who endured many sorrows, who cast aside the temptations of this evil world who strove in spiritual battle, who completed the monastic struggle, who preserved the Faith of our Fathers, and who exposed heresies and apostasies - pray ye at the heavenly throne of Almighty God for your orphaned flock.

For we have no shepherds now equal to you, and the sheep nave been scattered, deprived of good pastors. Pray to Christ our Savior, that He may manifest His power upon His children, and that He may shepherd us, the unworthy, who lie in weakness and temptation. May He send unto us spiritual leaders and good laborers into His harvest.

May the Lord destroy our pride and establish brotherly love May the Son gather us together, as a dove gathereth her young beneath her wings. For we have no strength to stand against the malice of this world. for we are small and weak and can do nothing without the help of the Lord.

Pray to God for us, O our intercessors, that the Lord may strengthen His Church and save our souls. Amen.
