If someone tells you that to be
good Christians, you must engage in a struggle against heretics and evil
people, that person is leading you astray. We fight against the antichrist by
manifesting love towards our neighbors. We stand against the demons through our
love for each other. And our “apocalyptic spirit” is born from the awareness
that the death of each one of us is possible at any moment, and we must seize
every minute in our lives to show love towards others, rather than to condemn
them.
- Metropolitan Chrysostomos of
Etna (+2019)

Certainly, you must be informed
about modern errors because preaching the truth involves preaching about
distancing oneself from error; but do not make the negative, secondary aspect
into the most important! Your first aim is not to fight against error but to
know the truth. Your central concern should be study, your sanctification,
silence, meditation, and the exercise of charity.
- Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre
(+1991, Latin Archbishop of Tulle, France)
