TO PRESIDENT B. N. YELTSIN
Your Excellency, esteemed Mr. President,
We thank the Lord, Who has
granted Russia such a President, one who was able selflessly to defend the
interests of the Russian people. Your heroic deed has raised you to the
pedestal of a son of the great Russian people, who saved Russia from
catastrophe.
Permit us, on behalf of the
faithful people of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside Russia and the Free Russian
Orthodox Church, to thank you for your fidelity and devotion to the ideals of
the people of Russia, with the wish that Your Excellency may receive God’s help
in continuing along the path of complete freedom, the triumph of justice, and
great wisdom, to the glory of the Motherland and the people.
