Controversy Surrounding the Statements of Patriarch Bartholomew

I would like to oppose the perception of His All-Holiness the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew I, which he delivered on July 29, 2025, regarding the claim that God is the same in all religions!!!

As an Orthodox Hierarch, I want to confess that there are not many gods, but ONE GOD, the Creator of heaven and earth and all that is contained therein.

The arguments of His All-Holiness Bartholomew are outside reality, purely ecumenistic, heretical, and delusional. For the other gods of this world are purely constructs of men, who themselves are deluded by the misanthropic and evil Devil.

And the Prophet David clearly calls the “gods” of the nations “demons.”

Thus, neither Allah, nor Brahman, nor Buddha are gods! They are creations of human thought, of human organizations, and of philosophical systems. All these are creations. Therefore, these creations are not God!

There is no other God except the HOLY TRINITY, the Father, and the Son, and the All-Holy Spirit. All the holy Apostles and Fathers of the Orthodox Church confessed and proclaimed this God, and we confess and believe in Him.

Let us pray for the Patriarchs, Metropolitans, Abbots, Priests, Hieromonks, and faithful Christians who have been led astray into the delusions of Ecumenism, so that they may rightly divide the word of the Holy Faith of the Orthodox, which preserves the Truth.
